SouthCoast Health is excited to welcome Dr. Roy D. Flood, a cardiologist, Dr. Scott E. Rojas, a medical doctor in infectious disease, and Dr. Keith Cobb, an internal medicine physician, to its team of physicians.
Both Dr. Flood and Dr. Rojas will see patients at 1326 Eisenhower Drive, Building Two, in Savannah. Dr. Keith Cobb will be accepting his patients at the 89 Interchange Richmond Hill office.
Dr. Flood received his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine and is board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Interventional Cardiology. Before joining SouthCoast Health, Dr. Flood spent most of the previous 12 years at a private practice in St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands. During his time there, he started a cardiac catheterization lab, which is where patients are taken if they have a blocked artery. Prior to moving to St. Thomas, Dr. Flood worked out of Providence Hospital and Washington Hospital Center in Washington, D.C., for eight years. His medical interests include angioplasty, working in the cardiac catheterization lab, and acute myocardial infarction.
Dr. Rojas received his Doctor of Medicine degree from the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas and is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Infectious Disease. After completing his residency and fellowship in California, he went back to Texas in 2002 to join the Lone Star Infectious Disease Associates. In 2005, he joined the Tarrant County Infectious Disease Associates, where he remained until joining SouthCoast Health early this year. During his years at Tarrant County Infectious Disease Associates, Dr. Rojas participated as a sub-investigator in more than 70 clinical trials.
Dr. Cobb received his Doctor of Medicine degree from The Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, Georgia and is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Internal Medicine. There, he received the Jacques Scholarship Award. Dr. Cobb received his outstanding education all within the state of Georgia, completing his residency and internship with the Internal Medicine Residency at Memorial Health University where he received the Resident of the Year award in his graduation year. Dr. Cobb works in numerous roles in various positions. He is a diplomat for the National Board of Medical Examiners and the American Board of Internal Medicine. He is an officer at the American Associate of Medical Review, and he is also an Aviation Medical Examiner. Dr. Cobb attributes his passion for helping alleviate the pain of others to the doctor that treated him as a child in his small-town.
