SouthCoast Health has been the title sponsor of the event since it started back in 2009. “This run advocates for total wellness within members of the community, which is something that we’re constantly striving to accomplish,” said John Marrero, administrator at SouthCoast Health. “Our mission is to ensure better living for those we can impact, and this United Way Turkey Trot does just that.”
All proceeds go to local causes and charities through United Way. United Way is dedicated to creating solutions for communities around the world, with a focus on education, financial stability, and health. These solutions include works such as helping a child learn to read, donating money to make sure people have access to quality medical care, and speaking out in support of policies that provide better opportunities for the community. SouthCoast Health is proud to present a run that is dedicated to helping the people of its local community.
The registration fee for the 8th annual United Way Turkey Trot starts at $25 and will increase to $30 after November 9 at 11:59 p.m., according to United Way’s website, so make sure to sign up as soon as possible!
