Readers of the Bryan County News voted SouthCoast Health as the community’s Favorite Place to Work and Favorite All-Around Industry. Two SouthCoast physicians, Dr. William E. Webb and Dr. Douglas A. Perry, also were voted “Favorites” in their respective specialties of pediatrics and family physician.
The newspaper announced the winners in a special edition. Voters were allowed one entry per person, only among those age 18 and older. The voting was conducted between Nov. 18 and Nov. 28.
“We are extremely proud to see the quality of our care appreciated and honored in this way,” SouthCoast Health Administrator John Marrero said. “A special congratulations go out not only to Drs. Webb and Perry but also to our staff. It is a wonderful tribute from our patients. Delivering the best healthcare requires a team effort.”
In 2014, Dr. Perry also was voted a best doctor by Bryan County Now.
Dr. William E. Webb practices at SouthCoast Health’s Ford Avenue location in Richmond Hill. He is board-certified by the American Board of Pediatrics, Pediatric Advance Life Support (PALS) and by the Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP). He received his Doctor of Medicine degree at St. George’s University in St. George’s, Grenada, West Indies, and completed his residency as the Chief Pediatric Resident at Memorial Health Medical Center in Savannah. He is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, Southern Medical Association, Georgia Medical Society and Medical Association of Georgia. He is affiliated at St. Joseph’s/Candler Hospital and Memorial Health University Medical Center. He has a special interest in pediatric obesity.
Dr. Douglas A. Perry practices at SouthCoast Health’s Interchange Drive location in Richmond Hill. He is board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. A graduate of the State University of New York’s Syracuse College of Medicine, he is a member of the American Medical Association, Southern Medical Association, Georgia Medical Society and Medical Association of Georgia. He is affiliated at St. Joseph’s/Candler Hospital and Memorial Health University Medical Center.
