When flown to St Joseph hospital several years ago after an apparent heart attack, I had no idea what cardiologist I would see. With no previous heart issues I had no need for a cardiologist. How he was assigned to my case I don't know, but I couldn't have been more fortunate! During a heart cathorization it was determined I had suffered a "widow-maker" attack with at least two 100% blockages. Fortunately the blockages were cleared and fives stents implanted to restore blood flow to an area of the heart very difficult to access surgically. I was soon released and within days I resumed normal daily activities. What could have been a fatal situation turned into a doctor/client relationship that provides me with factual medical advice which allows me to make my personal health treatment decisions. I'm 81yrs of age and am very thankful to have a cardiologist with whom I can openly discuss health options and who respects my choices without being insulted. He is brilliant and I like him

There isn’t a better cardiology doctor in Savannah than Dr. Abbisogun. He provided my husband with the best cardiology healthcare. He literally save my husband life. 2 years ago my husband went in to see him just out of per cautionary due to been a diabetic for 40years. Dr. Abbisogun recommended starting off with some labs in which our primary care doctor shared with Dr.Abbisogun. Then, he had my husband to do a stress test. Remind you my husband ACED it. So, to be more certain Dr.Abbisogun recommend that he goes through my husband wrist and check his arteries. So we did, and Dr.Abbisogun immediately found 2 main arteries blocked 1@80% and 1@70% blocked. Dr. Abbisogun immediately started working hand in hand with everyone to schedule my husband for immediately double by pass surgery. In the mix of him taking wonderful care of my husband I also got to meet his wonderful wife whom also took care of my husband. Mrs.Dr.Abbisogun was my husband diabetic specialist in whom I absolutely loved as well. They make an awesome team and, I highly recommend them both. Meeting dr abisogun was a pleasure. He has done a great job with my heart and put a stent in that made me feel great. I have been seeing Dr. Abisogun for approximately three years. I recently underwent my 4th cardiac catheterization. This was my first done by Dr. Abisogun, and it was by far the “easiest” catheterization that I have gone through. The method of the procedure he used was new to me and left me with no bruises or bleeding that I normally experience and there was absolutely no discomfort during the almost non-existent recovery period. I begin seeing Dr. Abisogun in 2017, after being under the care of the wonderful Emory healthcare system in Atlanta. Dr. Abisogun always listens and gives me his full attention as well as full responses to any questions or concerns that I have. He is my third cardiologist that I have had over 40 years and he is by far the most engaged and thorough physician that I have had care for my cardiac issues. Dr. Abisogun is one of the kindest men I’ve met as well as an amazing doctor!! His bedside manner is superb! He’s patient, thorough and takes his time listening to his patients. I had a personal loss in our family and a year a half later he asked how my son and myself were doing and still remember where my son was stationed during his loss. Now that’s an amazing physician!!
