I have been a patient of Dr. Murphy for the past 20 + years. He has always been very caring, compassionate, knowledgeable and professional. He specializes in Family Medicine and that's exactly how he treats me, just like family. Whenever I'm in his office he takes the time necessary to address my issues and he is genuinely concerned about me, my family and my ministry. He treats the whole person as well as my symptoms. During my last visit I did experience a longer than usual wait time but he explained that his staff of only one nurse had inadvertently put 2 other patients ahead of me on the board and was very apologetic about the mistake. Dr. Murphy has been my doctor for a number of yrs. and I referred my Mother and coworker as well. He's very concerning and hands on with his patients, something most doctors doesn't do now. They make you wait close to an hour, just to rush you out the room within 10-15 minutes and charge things they haven't done. Dr. Murphy explains and break down your labs report and make sure you understand any change of medications before leaving his office. When he left from South Coast on Eisenhower, I followed him on Chatham Park Center and will continue to do so until my eyes close just like my Mother. What a wonderful experience. I’ve only been in Savannah for about 18 months. This was my first time at Dr. Murphy. I was impressed by Dr. Murphy’s attention, procedures and recommendations. I am now a week off my blood pressure medication and doing great. I watched some videos on the internet to help get rid of some saggy arm issues from losing the weight and it was not helping but with one visit to my dr to see if I could start weaning off the blood pressure meds he also show me how to work on my arms and his suggestion is working wonderfully.
