Growing up, Meredith was a notoriously selective eater in her family, and before she headed off to school at The University of Alabama, her mom challenged her to learn the life skill of cooking. That summer was formative for Meredith as she made many burnt meals along the way, but slowly gained confidence and learned her love for food.
She went on to major in Food and Nutrition because of that experience and gained her bachelor’s degree. Upon graduation, she took a job with a large food and beverage company and lived all over the East Coast. When COVID hit, and after enjoying several successful years in the sales field, she decided it was time to go back to school to pursue her first passion, food.
She attended Meredith College in Raleigh, NC and received her Master’s in Nutrition with a focus on Community Food Insecurity. After graduation, Meredith started her internship with Gulf Coast Dietetic Internship where she completed 1,200 hours of supervised practice and obtained her registered dietitian credentials.
Meredith approaches nutrition counseling with compassion, empathy, and openness. Meredith welcomes clients of all ages, genders, and backgrounds to discover how all foods can fit into their diet. At home, Meredith enjoys reading, pickleball, riding horses, running, and spending time with her husband and daughter.
